The Columbus Organization is expanding its team of Registered Nurses with a new opportunity in San Marcos, CA. Interviews now being scheduled for a full time RN Supervisor serving behavioral homes and day programs in Escondido and the Greater San Diego area. Position will be based at the Administrative Office in San Marcos. Supervisory experience overseeing services to intellectually and developmentally disabled and mental health clients required.

Job Responsibilities:

 Implements program policy and procedure according to program regulations and guidelines
 Supervises all LVN’s as assigned
 Provides overall medical support to individuals who receive services to include scheduling of medical appointments and follow up as needed..
 Works closely with Regional Director and Program Administrator to ensure health and safety of individuals receiving services
 Provides on-site medical support to individuals
 Provides Medication Management training to all new hires and retraining to current staff as assigned
 Attends all external meetings, conferences, etc. as assigned
 Be knowledgeable and adhere to program regulations, assisting in preparation for annual licensure as applicable
 Maintain frequent contact with family members, as deemed appropriate
 Maintain frequent contact with external stakeholders as needed
 On-call responsibilities
 Maintain flexible schedule to include evening and weekend hours as deemed necessary

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Possess California nursing license-must be active and in good standing;
• Possess valid driver’s license
• 2 years experience working in residential setting serving individuals with mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities.
