Registered Nurse Assessor Opportunities (Maine, Statewide)

The Columbus Organization is expanding its team of nurses in the Great State of Maine.  Immediate openings for regional RN Nurse Assessors serving Statewide Assessing Services for the Department of Health and Human Services.  The RN assessors will conduct person centered long term care, acquired brain injury, ICF ID/DD, annual, pre admission screening and resident review assessments in accordance with state directives, processes and regulatory timeframes. Full and part time opportunities available.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing timely and quality assessments per working day
  • Conducts on-site and telephonic long term care assessments to determine an individual’s needs for long term services and supports

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active RN licensure in the State Of Maine
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in the field of mental health and/or intellectual disability with primary focus on behavioral health.
  • Previous RN assessor experience a plus
  • Extensive regional travel so must have personal motor vehicle and valid Maine driver’s license.
