Why I joined The Columbus Organization

I have worked in healthcare most of my career and I was excited about joining a company where I would have the opportunity to support the consumer/person served and assist with the company’s mission that everyone deserves a meaningful life.

How I describe our organization to other people

The Columbus Organization is a Professional Services firm that provides consulting, clinical staffing services and care management for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

How I chose my career

My career in healthcare has allowed me to develop skills by supporting professional services organizations in acute care and now behavioral health/complex care.  I enjoy healthcare because of the change management that is required to continue to deliver outstanding customer service.

A career highlight

One of the four company objectives of the first company that I worked for upon graduation from college was – To Help People Develop. My job satisfaction is in watching others grow, develop and succeed as a result of my mentoring and establishing of stretch goals.

How I describe myself

I am a leader who was mentored by my parents and early-career supervisors to give back and make a difference in the lives of others. In addition, I am passionate about customer service and will reward it when I experience it and will set the expectations about delivering it.

My background

I went to a faith-based college in Indiana which allowed me to meet so many people from around the world which resulted in my love for international travel and cultural diversity. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to travel throughout the US and abroad.

A bit about me

I am married to my husband Paul for over 30 years. We have three daughters. I love sharing time at the beach with family and friends. As a result of the pandemic, my new hobby is watching and developing a cool environment for hummingbirds.
